Compare like-for-like products
A useful comparison separates supported product differences from missing information.
01
Keep the product family consistent
Compare models intended for the same meaningful use. Collect products across different categories in RFQ rather than forcing them into one comparison.
02
Match the commercial basis
Compare reference prices only when currency, configuration and quantity basis match. Standard product MOQ is different from customization MOQ.
03
Read missing values correctly
An unspecified function is not proof that a product lacks it. Ask for confirmation rather than treating unknown as zero or no.
04
Separate product and shipping measurements
Product size, unit packaging, carton size and carton gross weight describe different things. Ask for the basis used in any per-unit shipping volume.
Use this as a starting point.
Product availability, evidence and commercial conditions require confirmation for your specific project.
